Battens of two timber species applied in alternating rhythm across the face. The pairing creates a depth and tonal contrast that single-species battens can't deliver. Light tones lift, dark tones recede — the door reads as woven rather than striped.
Standard pairing is Tasmania and Spotted Gum. The contrast is immediate without being loud — Tasmania is honey-warm, Spotted Gum is darker and harder. Custom timber combinations are available on request if you want a different reading.
