American Oak pivot pair for a Chapel Street display suite.

Two oversized American Oak pivots — display suite entrance for Otto Builders at 632 Chapel Street, built to read as a single architectural statement when shut.

Otto Builders commissioned a pair of oversized American Oak pivot doors as the entrance to their display suite at 632 Chapel Street, South Yarra. The space sits between a heritage rendered facade and a contemporary brick build — the doors had to anchor both visually.

We built both pivots in matching American Oak with a vertical lining-board profile and a recessed central feature panel. EverFrame™ steel reinforcement runs through both door cores so the matched pair stays true over the years and across Melbourne's seasons. Both doors mounted on FritsJurgens System M+ pivots — the only system rated for the weight at this kind of cadence.

When the pair is closed, they read as one architectural statement. When either operates, they swing cleanly and seal evenly. This is the kind of entrance Chapel Street commercial spaces deserve and rarely get.
